Here’s how EXAMINER plays a role
in bar code quality assessment.
The RJS CodaScan or RJS AutoScan verification devices measure both dimensional and reflectance data of the subject bar code with great accuracy. However, the print-outs have been found to be inadequate for easily diagnosing bar code problems. (Actual print-out shown to right)
When the data is transmitted to the Examiner software, it is enhanced and analyzed by the computer, graphically illustrated and stored in a database allowing for detailed analysis. The database can be used to monitor, assess and document the quality of an entire print run or research project. Retrieve, export or delete records from the database.
With the EXAMINER Bar Code Testing system users print detailed reports on most laser and dot matrix printers, and view the essential verification information on the computer screen. The EXAMINER software makes suggestions to help improve the print process, based upon verification data from symbols tested.
The graphical illustrations and problem summaries available in the EXAMINER's reporting function allow for quick assessment and documentation of bar code quality.
